City of Bella Vista Hosts Tree Giveaway for Residents

The City of Bella Vista will host a tree giveaway event for its residents on Friday. 

The event will begin at 9 a.m. at Blowing Springs Park located at 948 Blowing Springs Road.

“Trees and shrubs will be available until 11 a.m., or until they are gone,” the news release states. 

There will be all sorts of tree and shrub species at the event which include Black Choke Cherry, Nanny Berry Viburnum, Gray Dogwood, Arrowwood, Hazelnut, Carolina Buckthorn, Button Bush, Black Gum, Golden Delicious Apple, Burgundy Belle Maple, Redbud, Tulip Tree, Jane Magnolia, Pin Oak, Willow Oak and Bald Cypress, according to the news release. 

The city will be asking participants for proof of residency with a current utility bill, according to the news release. 

“One hundred trees have been provided through a grant from the Walton Family Foundation as part of a larger regional project to help increase and diversify the area’s tree canopy,” the news release states.
