FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The city of Fayetteville sent out a list of instructions on Feb. 2 to let the public know how to clear downed limbs out of their yard.

The winter storm caused several tree branches to go down in people’s yards.

Many tree limbs have been scattered throughout residents’ yards for weeks.

The city says it will collect bagged or bundled limbs on residents’ normal collection day. They must meet the specifications here.

The city says alternatively, residents can call 479-575-8398 to schedule a bulky waste collection. Each resident has one free pick-up each year.

They must meet these specifications: a maximum of 12 feet per limb and six inches in diameter and a limit of three standard pick-up-truck size loads.

They can also bring the limbs to a compost facility on Tuesday or Thursday between 8 a.m. or 3 p.m. or on Feb. 4 between 8 a.m. and noon.
