At 12:45 p.m. Thursday, January 17, employees at the Clarksville post office were evacuated when they smelled gas, according to Clarksville police.

Police arrived at USPS, 200 W Sevier Street, and evacuated the location, according to Public Information Officer Larry Boggs.

Fire and gas crews are also on scene, according Boggs.
