Coffee Shop Still Closed Days After Vehicle Crashed Into It

News

A local coffee shop remains closed after an SUV crashed through it last Friday, injuring five people.

Although College Avenue sees it’s fair share of wrecks, the area where Baba Boudan’s is located is not a high accident area, according to Sgt. Tony Murphy with the Fayetteville Police Department.

“Now, there is lots of incidents on that stretch of roadway where people need to be paying attention because people will brake to turn or to stop for people crossing in the crosswalk,” Murphy said.

The driver, a teenager, was cited for careless driving. The driver was also not in possession of a license.

The 27-year-old building had a car crash into it nearly 20 years ago, according to the owner.
