Concert to benefit opioid recovery nonprofit

News

The Matt Adams Foundation is working to combat the opioid epidemic with a benefit concert happening tonight, May 19, at George’s Majestic Lounge.

Money raised will benefit the nonprofit’s naloxone opioid overdose rescue kit distribution program and financial aid for those seeking long-term treatment.

The Matt Adams Foundation was founded in Northwest Arkansas in the memory of Fayetteville native Matt Adams, who died from an accidental overdose in 2017.

The concert is scheduled on what would have been Adams’ 32nd birthday.

Performers will include local artists Opal Agafia & the Sweet Nothings, Jesse Dean and Co., and Caleb Ryan Martin.

Tickets are $15. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show begins at 7 p.m.
