‘Confirmed Observed Tornado’ Touches Down in Sequoyah County, Okla.

National Weather Service officials state that a “confirmed observed tornado” has touched down in Sequoyah County, Okla.

The Weather Service said that a large, dangerous tornado moving 35 miles per hour was seen near Lake Tenkiller State Park, moving northeast.

Both Sequoyah, Adair, Cherokee and Muskogee counties have been put under a tornado warning.

Residents of those counties are asked to take shelter.
