The Bentonville Fire Department broke ground on Station 7 Friday.
The new 9,000 square foot state of the art facility will will be built about four miles southwest of Station 6.
The station will have three apparatus bays, one truck wash bay and living quarters for several firefighters.
“The construction of the facility demonstrates the commitment of the City of Bentonville towards public safety,” a Bentonville firefighter said.
Construction will be complete in fall 2019 and is expected cost $2.5 million.
