ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA) — Construction is underway for the first phase of a $100 million project in Rogers that will transform the way you live and work.
If you look out the window of J.B. Hunt Tower, you will see an empty lot of dirt.
Soon it will be a 15 acre mixed-use development that will include retail space, a boutique hotel, numerous restaurants, and more.
The project is a joint venture between Cushman & Wakefield/Sage Partners, Hunt Ventures, and Urban5 Partners.
“This project is unlike most other apartment projects in Northwest Arkansas,” T.J. Lefler, Executive Vice President of Cushman & Wakefield/Sage Partners, said. “I would say a couple of years in the making, getting our loan situated, the partnership came together. We designed pretty much the entire project before we broke ground, so it’s been in the making for quite a while.”
Pinnacle Heights, located along S. Champions Drive in Rogers, will include 300 apartments and brownstone townhomes, plus plenty of parking.
In the middle, two green spaces with food trucks for movies in the park, emphasizing walkability to nearby attractions.
“You will be able to walk to the amphitheatre. Rhere are many office buildings youll be able to walk to — TopGolf, we’re also working on that deal, you can walk to that as well,” Lefler added.
The project is yet another development that Steve Cox with the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce says will bring more jobs and revenue to the city.
Just last year more than 1,100 jobs were created in Rogers.
“We’ve seen about $2 billion of capital investment over the past 15 years in that area, and this is continuing on that momentum,” Cox said.
But this community willl stand out like any other, having a living component in every building.
“We have the component of the retail, bascially you can live here, you’re going to be able to shop here, play here, essentially be able to walk to anything you’ll need,” Lefler said.
The project is expected to be complete in 2020.
