FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFTA) — Several organizations are working to provide a little holiday cheer at the University of Arkansas Wednesday.

“Give a Cookie, Get a Cookie” gives U of A students an opportunity to decorate, donate and enjoy their handiwork while decompressing from final exams.

Chartwells, the Volunteer Action Center and Razorback Food Recovery hosted the cookie decorating party Wednesday at the Arkansas Union on campus.

Cookies will be delivered to the Campus Food Pantry and extra cookies will be taken to several nonprofits in the area.

Organizers say the students have been excited to take a break from class while also spreading a little holiday spirit.

“They have been really excited,” said Kalindi Cordero, event organizer. “It’s a good stress relief. They really like the concept of giving back and and getting to keep one for themselves and even giving one to their friends on campus too.”

The group said they plan to have a similar event around valentines day.
