The Army Corps of Engineers Beaver Project Office are hosting a 50th anniversary celebration at Beaver Lake.
The celebration will be on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. at Dam Site Park.
Speakers at the celebration include U.S. Senator John Boozman and Congressman Steve Womack. Col. Robert Dixon of the Little Rock District Command will be the keynote speaker.
Tours of the powerhouse will be offered at the end of the official ceremony.
