Cotton Says He Hopes State ‘Prevails’ in Executions

News

Just hours after two planned executions didn’t happen, KNWA caught up with U.S. Senator Tom Cotton to hear his thoughts about the potential executions.

Cotton said he fully supports Governor Asa Hutchinson as he continues to fight for the executions to be completed.

“Some of these verdicts go back 20 or 30 years and the families of these victims of heinous murders deserve piece of mind and finality and justice,” Cotton said. ” I think it’s unfortunate that a bunch of liberal lawyers and washed up celebrities and politically correct pharmaceutical coming at the very last minute with frivelous claims that could have been adjudicated years ago.”

Senator Cotton said he hopes that the State prevails.
