Officials in Crawford County confirm that the county will not receive state or federal funds for storm damage.

Preliminary reports from Crawford County Emergency Management Director Brad Thomas says that five houses were destroyed, 16 houses with major damage, 56 houses with minor damage and 47 houses that were slightly affected.

There were two separate tornadoes in Crawford County. One in Van Buren was a low-end EF2 and another one just east of Rudy and east of Mountainburg near Old Turner Road that was an EF1.

Thomas says that 135 homes were affected in Crawford County.

He says that homeowners will have to rely on home insurance.
