Rescue crews in Harrison, Arkansas are still looking for two people who went missing during those storms Friday.
John and Amy Villines had their car swept up by flood waters, according to witnesses of the event.
First responders discovered the car but didn’t find anyone inside.
Crews plan to go through debris piles today near Harrison Lake and Crooked Creek and conduct another search with dogs.
“We started draining the lake yesterday morning,” said Marvin Holt, the Harrison Fire Chief. “It probably went down about 8 inches, it’ll probably take about 3 or 4 days. We’re gonna start walking in the creek, we’re going to put walkers in the water.”
Holt says several agencies are assisting including help from sonar technology and robots.
The Villines are business owners in Harrison, and the community has shown up to help search as well.
