UPDATED: (4:00 p.m.) A person on a bicycle was hit by a vehicle on Monday, April 23, according to Fayetteville Police Department.
Police said after the cyclist was hit the driver of the vehicle took off.
The hit and run took place near the intersection of Garland and North Street around 1:30 p.m.
The cyclist was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center in serious condition.
Police are searching for a black passenger car or SUV with a missing mirror and a possible green University of Arkansas sticker in the rear window. The driver of the vehicle is suspect to be a tan or white female.
