People got to bust their moves for a good cause for the first ever “Dance for the Cure” event Friday.
The event was held at the Village on the Park in Bentonville.
It helped raise funds for Parkinson’s research.
Those behind the event say it’s a great way to reach people in the community who may be suffering from the disease.
“You know some people may not even know that some of our residents have Parkinson’s, and this way they are able to share, you know, the struggle with that disease and have a larger support group here in our community,” said Jared Sandres, director of sales and marketing for Village on the Park
Organizers say raising awareness is critical in the fight against Parkinson’s.
