More details were released on the murder of a Carroll County boy.
Police arrested a 17-year-old man on Tuesday after being accused of killing his brother. Police said the victim’s father called them to their residence to report a murder. When police arrived, they found the victim lying face up in the middle room. Police said the victim had extensive trauma to his head and a sword was sticking out of the victim’s mid section.
Police also found a bat that had blood on hit.
The teenager accused of the murder was in the back bedroom of the house when police arrested him. When the teenager was interviewed, he told police he killed his brother with the baseball bat and the sword. He then told police after he did it, he took a shower, changed clothes and went to watch tv.
Police later found out the 17-year-old attempted to burn their residence down in April 2016. The teenager told police he locked his brother in his room and poured gasoline on the floor and set it on fire.
The 17-year-old was arrested. He faces charges of capital murder, arson and attempted capital murder.
