Discussion for Bella Vista Lake Delayed

The Bella Vista Lake Council has delayed its discussion on what the future will hold for the park.

The meeting was set to take place Tuesday, September 11, 2018, but now, the topic will come before the council at a later date.

Since April 2017, City of Bentonville staff, with the assistance of multiple public committees, have worked to determine the future of Bella Vista Lake and the 135-acre park.

In October 2017, a grant from the Walton Family Foundation allowed the City of Bentonville to hire design consultants and engage the public to create conceptual master plans for the public park. The goal of the master planning process was to provide city council with as much information as possible regarding construction costs, long-term maintenance costs and future programming.

City staff will notify the press and public as soon as the meeting date is rescheduled.
