Dodgeball Event Raises Awareness for Pet Adoption

The event is called Dodgeball for Doggies, and the nonproit’s goal is to raise awareness for local animal shelters. 

The indoor event was held Saturday afternoon, January 19,  it was The Fayetteville Fire Department verses the Fayetteville Police Department for the third year vying for the ‘Doggies Title’.

The event was held at the Fayetteville Athletic Center.

Several local animal shelters, including Fayetteville Animal Services, were there to promote the benefits of dog adoption. 

Fayetteville Animal Services, Cecily Jackson said, “The more dogs we adopt, the more room we have in the animal shelter to bring out other dogs. It’s a wonderful event and I am very happy to be a part of it.”

The price of a ticket was a pet supply item.
