Men and women of all ages rallied in Fayetteville on Friday outside of the Washington County Courthouse to protest the inauguration of President Donald Trump.
It was a peaceful protest, but one with a strong message, equality matters.
With President Trump in office many of the protestors feel women’s rights are in danger.
University of Arkansas student Kara Bell said this issue hits home for her because of how she was raised. ” I’ve grown up in a single parent home with my mom and just being a woman in today’s society, I just believe women should have equal rights.”
The protestors believe women of all ages, color and religion should have the same rights.
Kate Johnson was also in attendance at the protest and said the message they want to send to President Trump is that all people should be treated equally.
