Election officials are already preparing for the 2016 primary.
Election commissioners from counties in Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley brushed up on their skills at a special training meeting Wednesday at the Washington County Courthouse. They discussed vote centers, new equipment and future elections.
“They’ll talk about any new law changes that occurred in 2015 that impact elections, and then they’ll go over just the basics of just running elections, what the laws are, what applies to the election commissioners,” Election coordinator Jennifer Price said.
State law requires commissioners to receive election training before each primary.
