Day two of our Fall Fun takes us to Cave Springs where a new coffee shop is adding flavor to the local economy.
Owner Cave Springs Coffee Company Rodney Wilson says, “We’re the first business to open in Cave Springs in 10 years.”
Cave Springs’ newest hot spot gets the city going. Wilson says, “We’re literally six minutes from the airport and so we’ve had a lot of travelers that come through and they have a cup of coffee and wait for their flight.” Wilson says his business fills a void in the city’s downtown. “This is the only coffee shop within about 15 minutes in any direction and people have been hungry for something to do and a place just to come and sit. As you can see we have a lot of people who come and do work here,” says Wilson.
Wilson says he opened the coffee company in June after wanting to put down roots in Northwest Arkansas. He hopes the coffee shop becomes a center for the community and now the city is helping him make that dream come true through a grant. Wilson says, “We’ll be hooking up to the Greenway, the bicycle trail, so people will be able to ride their bicycles out here probably next Summer.”
