Tonight (January, 20) in the River Valley, an Arkansas family held a balloon release honoring their loved one who was killed at an apartment complex in Fort Smith.
Around 4 a.m. on Monday (January 14) Fort Smith Police were called to the Timberline Apartments on Kinkead Avenue where 22-year-old Jameski Bibbs lost his life.
Fort Smith Police said they are still investigating what happened, but the family said the story is not adding up.
Bibbs’s sister, Ravetovia Bibbs said, “I feel like my brother is way smarter than that and from the looks, he doesn’t own a handgun not that I know of and it’s kind of weird he wouldn’t get up at 3 o’clock in the morning but go the store.”
The family said Jameski moved to Fort Smith a few months ago.
“We just want a legit story we actually want to know what happened to my brother and why did he do it, Bibbs said. “We have questions and we want answers that’s all we want.”
Another victim was stabbed in the incident, and he was sent to a local hospital in Fort Smith.
