The Committee for Fayetteville Mardi Gras will be having its 28th annual Mardi Gras parade Saturday, March 2, at 2 p.m.

The committee said to “bring the kids to the family-friendly parade as it winds its way from the Fayetteville Square, Block Avenue, and Dickson Street”.

The 2:00 pm parade is a colorful mix of beads, costumed revelers, performance groups, and festive floats.

The festivities are sponsored by The Committee for Fayetteville Mardi Gras, Inc., a non-profit organization, donating a share of each year’s proceeds to local charities.

This year’s recipient is the Community Creative Center and the Wheel Mobile.

The Fat Saturday Parade will be led by Grand Marshals, Jason and Jill Suel.

Jason is a local television personality and celebrity, and Jill is Marketing Director at the Walton Arts Center.
