Fayetteville city leaders delivered a Santa sack-sized amount of holiday cheer to a senior center.
The city’s community resources division hosted its 12th annual Senior Giving Tree event at the Fayetteville Senior Activity and Wellness Center.
The seniors were treated to games and prizes, music and hot cider.
“On this day, we’re here to serve them. We’re here to acknowledge everything they’ve done in the community and to let them know that we still think about them,” community resources director Yolanda Fields says.
Gifts were collected leading up to the event on Thursday.
Those gifts will be given to the homebound seniors who were unable to attend.
