Fayetteville Farmer’s Market Continues On Despite Snow Flurries

News

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) – The freezing temperatures didn’t stop vendors from shopping at the farmer’s market today in Fayetteville.

Despite some light snow on the ground, people came out to enjoy the weekend and browse the different stands.

There was even an appearance by Fayetteville mayor Lioneld Jordan.

One of the vendors, Preston Stewart from Markham & Fitz Chocolate says the cold temperatures never seem to keep the customers away from this tradition.

“I think it is pretty cool to see the dedication of the vendors and also the customers. It’ll warm up a little bit here today and we will see some more traffic,” Stewart said.

It’s the second weekend the farmer’s market has been open this year.

Vendors will be out every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and hopefully next time with some warmer weather.
