The celebration of Hanukkah kicked off Sunday night on the Fayetteville square.
The lighting of the celebratory menorah brought many to Downtown Fayetteville.
Those behind the holiday celebration say that this symbolic meaning gives hope for many that celebrate Hanukkah this time of the year.
“The message of Hanukkah is one that teaches us that even if you just have one little flame, one flame plus another flame plus another flame makes the world bright and beautiful,” said Chabad of Northwest Arkansas, Rabbi Mendel Greisman.
Hanukkah last for eight days and is celebrated around the world.
