WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — UPDATE: The case for a man accused of killing his wife earlier this year has been delayed.

Marcus Joiner had a status hearing scheduled for Oct. 24.

The Washington County Prosecutor’s Office says that his case was continued to Jan. 23, 2024.


WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The case for a man arrested earlier this year in Fayetteville’s first homicide of 2023 has been delayed.

Marcus Joiner, 40, was arrested on April 16 as a suspect in the murder of his wife at their home at 1611 E Thornhill Drive.

Joiner was formally charged with capital murder in May.

A hearing was originally set for July 11. His new hearing date is Oct. 24.
