Fayetteville Police Department Cops and Coats Drive

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFTA) — The Fayetteville Police Department set out to make sure many are able to stay warm this winter.

It was all part of the 3rd Annual Cops and Coats Drive at the Fayetteville Walmart near Joyce Blvd.

Many people stopped by and donated new and used coats, as well as cash for kids to keep warm as the temperatures change.

Cpl Dallas Brashears with the FPD said they planned this year’s event earlier to get a head start on fall.

“We wanted to get all of this cold weather gear distributed out to the Boys and Girls Club, CASA , Life Source and Fayetteville High School before it actually gets cold out,” Brashears said.

If you missed Sunday’s event, you can donate coats at the Fayetteville Police Department during the next few weeks.
