Fayetteville Police Investigating Car Break-ins at Gyms

News

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFTA) — Fayetteville Police are investigating numerous car break-ins outside of gyms near Wedington Drive.

Fayetteville police say four cars were broken into Sunday afternoon right outside of three local gyms. The break-ins happened at Fitness One, Planet fitness and Anytime Fitness Gyms.

All of the victims had their windows smashed and purses and wallets stolen.

A Farmington woman says she had nearly $4,000 worth of valuables stolen while she was inside Anytime Fitness.

“I feel very violated. We actually on our way home on Sunday after this happened, we actually picked up a camera security system for our home because inside that bag was also our house key,” Rachel Plumlee said.

Fayetteville Police encourage everyone to lock their car doors and not leave any valuables in plain view. They suggest locking those items in the trunk.
