Fayetteville School District takes the top spot in Niche’s 2017 Best School Districts in Arkansas list.
The schools received an overall grade of A+ based on academics, teachers, diversity, college readiness, health and safety and clubs and activities.
Teachers at Fayetteville Public School also received high remarks, ranked number one in the 2017 Districts with the Best Teachers in Arkansas and number three Best Places to Teach in Arkansas.
“It is always nice to receive recognition, especially when the recognition is reflective of our extraordinary teachers, their dedication and the incredible work of all the staff members and our board of education,” said Superintendent Dr. Matthew Wendt. “The Niche rankings acknowledge the excellence of the Fayetteville School District. We are blessed to be a part of a very special school district and community.”
Multiple elementary schools and middle schools in the school district were named in the top 10 of rankings. In total, Northwest Arkansas had seven schools in the top 20. Bentonville School District was number two, Greenwood Schools were number four, Rogers Schools were number eight, Gravette Schools were number 12, Prairie Grove Schools were number 13 and Siloam Springs Schools were number 14.
