Fayetteville Regional helps restaurant through slow summer days

News

America’s favorite pastime brought thousands of fans to northwest Arkansas for the Fayetteville Regional.

Fans came from all over the state, and even the country, to watch the hogs play Texas Christian University.

With all the people in town, they need to find spots to eat, including Foghorn’s near the Baum Walker Stadium in Fayetteville. General manager Sarah Harrington said customers in town for the tournament come from all over– including Addyson White who came from Russellville with her family.

“I like to watch them play because I like watching baseball,” White said.

Harrington said the new customers bring in two to three times more revenue than a usual day.

“Our entire restaurant will fill up within an hour and it will stay busy for a couple of hours before they go over to the game,” Harrington said.

Harrington went on to say this tournament, as well as other sporting events, are a good way to get over the summer hump while the students are gone.
