The Associate Superintendent for Administrative Services has resigned, effective June 30.
Dr. Kim Garrett’s resignation was approved by the Fayetteville Board of Education on Thursday.
Garrett cited being closer to home as reasoning behind her resignation. “I have greatly enjoyed working at Fayetteville Public Schools. However, family circumstances, particularly our aging family members, require us to be closer to home in the Tulsa are,” Garrett said.
Garrett joined the school district in 2014. She will resign after the 2016-17 school year ends.
“Dr. Garrett’s early notice and the board’s approval provide the time for a comprehensive process to recruit and fill this important leadership position,” commented Dr. Wendt. “As with any vacancy in Fayetteville Public Schools, I anticipate an exceptional and talented group of candidates.”
