FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) — You can do your part to help make sure students in our area have plenty to eat during the holidays.

East Side Grill in Fayetteville is collaborating with the Fayetteville Public School District to fill the pantry.

The food will go to students in the district who may not get enough to eat when school is out during winter break.

Melissa Rogers, a social worker with the district, said people can get involved by donating nonperishable food items.

“One of the things that we do provide our food in are these 18 gallon tubs with lids on them. And so the great thing about it is once the families get the food in the tub, then they have a tub they can use for storage and everyone always needs extra storage,” said Melissa Rogers, social worker for Fayetteville Public Schools

Donations can be dropped off until Sunday at the Eastside Grill in Fayetteville.
