Fayetteville, Springdale Looking to Improve Parks

The city of Fayetteville is looking to improve its parks. It’s holding several public input sessions to gather ideas and answer questions. The first one is this Saturday, at Arvest Bank’s Outdoor Plaza on East Street. If you miss that, you can drop in at the Fayetteville Public Library April 3, or Kessler Mountain Regional Park’s Concession Stand on April 10. Aall sessions are from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. ideas will be put together and submitted to the city council later this year. 

The city of Springdale is asking for nominations to win a grant through the “Meet Me At The Park” campaign. Springdale residents can nominate the city for the $20,000 grant, any time in April. Just take a selfie in your favorite park and use the #meetmeatthepark, #parkies, and #beinspired. The city says parks are essential to the city’s health and well-being and it would use the grant to make improvements if chosen.
