SPRINGDALE, Ark.- You can make the holidays brighter for children at the new Arkansas Children’s Northwest. The Festival of Stars Toy and Donation Drive started at 7 a.m. December 15 and it’s all benefiting the children of Arkansas Children’s Northwest.
Toys and monetary donations will be accepted, which will all go towards providing joy for patients at Arkansas Children’s Northwest when it opens in early 2018. This donation drive is part of a larger, statewide effort to collect toys and raise funds for patients at different Arkansas children’s hospitals. 10 additional locations around the state are participating in this event as well.
According to the Children’s Hospital, the community has donated more than $100,000 in toys to Arkansas Children’s patients. They said this effort is a part of their mission to reaching more children where they live, learn, and play.
The donation drive will run until 6 p.m. Friday so if you have a brand new toy you can donate, feel free to stop by Arvest Ballpark.
