News

Springdale Police are investigating a house fire in that left one woman dead and had her family members rushed to the hospital.

The fire department responded to a home off Hudson St. that was engulfed in flames.

The department said they are now opening an investigation to determine the cause of that fire.

Captain Matt Bagley said the Springdale Fire department received a call just after 2 a.m. from a neighbor saying flames were coming from the home.

During the fire, the garage was heavily damaged causing it to collapse and shatter and break the windows.

“We’re trying to preserve everything the best we can while slowly sifting through recognizable debris versus unrecognizable debris to try to see where the fire started,” Capt. Bagley said.

Bagley said his crew will be on site all day as the fire marshall will determine how the fire broke out the victims in the hospital have been released with minor injuries.
