FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – In Springdale on Tuesday, crews installed the first mural of the ‘Migrated’ mural series.
It’s a giant 50-foot-tall vinyl and aluminum blown-up print of a painting by Jane Kim, an artist from San Fransisco. It’s called “kaleidoscope.”
The piece was funded by a grant from the Walton Family Foundation to the Downtown Springdale Alliance.
You can see it on a tower at the Springdale Airport.
Kim said all of the artwork in the series will be unique to the architecture it’ll be placed on. She hopes the mural will bring smiles to drivers, walkers and bike riders who will pass the mural every day.
