JOHNSON COUNTY, AR — Severe flooding continuing to ravage the central part of the state, as water continues to rise in the Arkansas River. In Jefferson County, some residents, forced to take boats to dry land, turning yards into parking lots. Around the neighborhood you can see critters and garbage just about everywhere, but some believe the worst is yet to come. The river is expected to crest friday at over 44 feet. Right now it’s up to roughly 43 feet.
