Hundreds of fans, young and old, lined up to take pictures with Olympic Gold Medalist Omar McLeod on Saturday. The former Razorback gave out hugs, signed autographs, and took selfies at the Razorback Invitational.
McLeod holds the 60 and 110-meter hurdle records for the University of Arkansas. He is also a four time national champion and the recipient of seven first team All-America certificates. McLeod said he loves being able to see the impact he has on fans.
“It’s a huge blessing just to give back in small ways. It’s crazy how your presence has such an impact on the young kids and I live for that.”
McLeod is the first athlete for Jamaica to capture the gold medal in the 110-meter hurdles.
