Former Razorbacks Set to Break Ground on New Business


After playing 4 years on the University of Arkansas’s tennis teams, Shannon Hudson and Johan den Toom will graduate on May 11, 2018 but one day before they walk across the stage, the duo is breaking ground on a new business.

The two have decided to stay in Northwest Arkansas after graduation and start a career that invests in the health and wellness of the community.

Together, the two are opening the Matrix Racquet Club that will be a state of the art facility with the latest and most efficient heating, cooling and lighting systems.

The facility will feature facilities and amenities including:
·         6 Championship Outdoor Tennis Courts
·         6 Championship Indoor tennis courts with year-round climate control
·         4 Quickstart Tennis Courts
·         3 Padel Courts
·         Health and Fitness Center
o    Group Fitness Studio
o    SpinBar
o    Boutique Gym
·         Indoor Clubhouse
·         Outdoor Snackbar
·         Pro shop featuring a wide selection of equipment for men, women and youth
·         Racquet stringing service
·         Matrix Fresh Café
·         Men’s and Women’s locker rooms
·         Lobby and viewing area

The pair says they want to invest in the wellness of the Northwest Arkansas community and think that Lowell is the perfect place to build their facility.
