Fort Smith Animals Get a New Lease on Life

FORT SMITH, Ark. (KFTA) — Sixty-five shelter animals from Hope Humane Society in Fort Smith will board a “Freekibble Flight to Freedom” to get a new lease on life.

These dogs and cats are perfectly adoptable pets but are at risk of being euthanized.

The animals will fly from Arkansas to new loving homes in Idaho.

It’s part of a collaboration with and Wings of Rescue.

Wings of Rescue’s mission is to save homeless pets by flying them to shelters, where they’re immediately adopted.

The collaboration has saved more than 8,000 dogs and cats.
