The Bastion Gallery, 914 Garrison Ave, hosted the opening of ‘Now and Then,’ a celebration of Black History Month in Fort Smith.

The Bastion Gallery and 646 are collaborating to put together galleries all over the city.

The two groups said they saw Black History Month as the perfect opportunity to highlight the African American community.

“Our community is full of artists of all colors and we wanted to bring attention to that,” 646 Executive Director, Talicia Richardson, said.

The closing reception is on Sunday, February, 24.
