FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) — An award winning Fort Smith filmmaker will be celebrated later this month.
Phillip Person, a Fort Smith native, will be featured in The Clayton House’s Clayton Conversations, which will be held Sunday, March 25. The event was originally scheduled for January, but was rescheduled, according to a Clayton House news release.
Person’s short documentary “I Am We,” which won first place at the Artifact Forum and Gallery’s Short Film Festival in Hawthorne, Calif., will be shown. Person will also answer questions.
Refreshments will be served at 1 p.m. and the program begins at 1:30 p.m., the news release states.
Person has been in film production since 1999. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Calif. he went on to work for Dreamworks and Jerry Bruckheimer Films.
“Phillip returned home to Fort Smith about 10 years ago and had found success working as (a) freelance director and editor,” the news release states.
