Fort Smith Police Arrest 3 Sex Offenders in June

FORT SMITH, Ark. (KFTA) – Three sex offenders were arrested in the month of June by detectives with the Fort Smith Police Department Special Investigations Unit.

44-year-old Lonnie Tibbits, 32-year-old Joshua Antoine and 27-year-old Jose Ayala had warrants for their arrests issued for Failure to Comply with the Sex Offender Registration Act.

Tibbits left the state of Arkansas without notifying the Sex Offender Coordinator of his resident change.

Antoine moved to Arkansas from Louisiana without notifying authorities in both states.

Ayala changed residence without notifying law enforcement.

The Fort Smith Police Department wants to remind remind citizens that they can receive automatic email notifications when sex offenders move into their area.

To register, Fort Smith residents can go to www.fortsmithpd.org and sign up for alerts.
