UPDATE: FORT SMITH, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Fort Smith Police have arrested two individuals in connection with the shooting at the 3400 block of Duke Avenue on Friday morning.

The victim, Caleb France, 18, was taken to a local hospital where he later fled but was quickly apprehended by police, according to a press release.

During the investigation, it was revealed that France and a 17-year-old juvenile had committed an aggravated robbery when the incident occurred. France and the juvenile were arrested for the aggravated robbery.

The investigation remains ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.

FORT SMITH, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Fort Smith Police Department reported a shooting around 9 a.m. at the 3400 block of Duke Avenue.

One victim who has been reported and was transported to a local hospital with injuries. Their status is unknown.

The investigation is still ongoing. No arrests have been made.
