The First Tee of Northwest Arkansas will host its 3rd annual, Tee Up Your Future Expo For Young Women on Wednesday, March 28 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Sam’s Club Corporate Office in Bentonville.
Over 500 junior high and high school aged girls. The leadership conference is designed to create an ideal professional atmosphere for girls to meet an assortment of executives throughout multiple industries, while also learning how to be successful in the future using The First Tee 9 Core Values.
Female executives from leading retail industries will lend stories, advice and examples of how they have used certain core values to be successful in their careers and personal lives. The executive speaker lineup includes: Gisel Ruiz, Executive Vice President of Operations, Sam’s Club; Cindi Marsiglio, VP U.S. Manufacturing and Sourcing, Walmart; Shelley Simpson, EVP; Chief Commercial Officer; President of Highway Services, J.B. Hunt Transport; Clarissa Clark, Vice President, Customer Development, Walmart at Tyson Foods; and a representative from P&G.
Alyssa Orange of Pig Trail Nation(KNWA/Fox 24) will emcee and will be interviewing Shauna Estes-Taylor, the University of Arkansas women’s golf coach, and Julie Cromer Peoples, Assoc. Vice Chancellor and Senior Assoc. A.D. at the University of Arkansas, about their experience working as women in sports. The University of Arkansas women’s golf team will also be in attendance to show their support of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G and The First Tee of Northwest Arkansas.
“Tee Up Your Future” is the kickoff event for The First Tee’s Girls On Course program, meant to provide a more social environment for girls interested in getting involved in golf. The Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G is the presenting sponsor for this program in order to promote women’s golf and grow the game among young girls in Northwest Arkansas.
