Early Voting in NWA Sees Potential Record Turnout

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ark. (KFTA) -- A higher early voting turnout is on pace to beat 2014 midterm election numbers.

Nearly 3,000 ballots were cast in Washington County as of 6 p.m. Monday.

That's almost triple the number of voters on the first day of early voting in 2014.

Nearly 4,000 voters showed up at the polls  in Benton County as of 4:30 p.m. compared to 1,900 on the first day of early voting in 2014.

"You don't get those super-long lines that you get on actual election day, and also I think it's important that you come out here and be the change that you want to see," said Svana Baldwin.

Early voting continues until Monday, Nov. 5.
