U of A Hosts Education Innovation Summit in Rogers

ROGERS, Ark. (KFTA) -- The University of Arkansas hosted the Fourth Annual Education Innovation Summit at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers on Thursday.

Speakers with international, national and state level experience were invited to talk about innovation research in transformational leadership, learner-driven practices and designing learning.

"You have to find the way that works for you, that works for your students and that works for your community and that's really where we're going, and Arkansas wants to lead the nation in student focused learning and this is one way that we get people doing that," said Denise Airola, director of the Office of Innovation for Education for the University of Arkansas.

With record-breaking attendance the past two years, the 2018 summit hosted 500 educators this year and offered more than 75 sessions.

The summit continues Friday.
