Fayetteville Police are searching for whoever vandalized a soccer field.
Early morning on March 14, crews at Kessler Mountain Regional Park reported damage.
Staff pulled camera footage where they saw everything unfold.
The videos show a black sport-utility vehicle doing donuts and tearing up the field.
Staff handed over the footage to the police for further investigation.
Byron Humphry, parks and maintenance superintendent
“The extent of the damage is hard to tell right now, the turf is dormant, so it won’t come out of dormancy until April sometime which, unfortunately, is after soccer season is over,” Parks and Maintenance Superintendent Byron Humphry, said. “So the fields will be in this condition for the entirety of spring soccer.”
The park staff is still figuring out how to repair the fields, and all soccer games scheduled for March 14, were canceled.
