ROGERS, Ark. (KFTA) – A child health and wellness fair was helping parents keep their kids healthy all at no cost Saturday.

Hosted by the Sunshine School and Development Center, the free event offered child screenings, local resource training, and plenty of giveaways.

Health screenings were available for children as young as 6 months up to age 21.

Organizers of the event say getting your child seen by a doctor at an early age can always be a great first step to a healthy life.

Director of Children Services Nicole Bedard said, “if you ever have a question or concern, the earlier the better, early intervention is so powerful and it’s so important. It’s crucial that parents learn and advocate for their children and get them resources that they need.”

Rogers and Little Rock police were also at the event offering free car seat checks to keep those kiddos safe on the road.
